A hobby for someone will look funny for those who are not into it. Seriously. I noticed it from my friends expression or remarks when i told them about my hobby.The best remarks from my friends was:
" Patutla MAS rugi..ko asyik curi diorang nyer safety cards.." abis tuh gelak2 jahat giler..heheh
What is my hobby? Collecting safety cards.( apart from collecting diecast planes that is ). Safety cards? ala..You know, the cards with all the safety instruction at the back of the planes seat.Started this hobby of mine exactly a year ago, started from scratch with just a Royal Brunei's 767-200ER card, now I have more than 40 cards from more than 20 airlines in my collection. Thanks to the existence of world wide web, now I can just swap my card with the rest of avid collectors from Malaysia ( yeah, we have our own of safety card community in M'sia) and maybe just 'indulge' myself in Ebay for those cards...hehe..(lepas tuh sengkek..padan muka! :P)
I'm proud to be the owner of a Concorde safety card,see pic. ( issue 5 ). That was a big catch for me.It cost me around USD15.00 with shipping. Honestly, that price was bloody cheap. Right now i'm still contemplating whether to take a ride on MAS F50 and DHT Twin Otter flight this July just for the sake of the safety cards or maybe, i'll just wait for the new FAX Airlines ( Air Asia rural air servies sub ). Decision, decison.
One thing for sure, my collection will grow again this Sunday coz i'll be flying on Air China's 767-300 to Beijing. yippy!
p/s: if any of you happen to be on a flight later, do take the cards for me pls..coz any sort of 'donation' are welcome.hehehe
