In an all Russian affair in the French Open 4th round yesterday, Dinara Safina won the ferocious catfight against my favourite pin up glamour girl, Miss Maria Sharapova? Am i impressed by Safina's win? Kinda. Safina, the world No 17, displayed an astounding determination in turning around her match against Sharapova. Sharapova got the chance to serve for the match at 5-1 and 5-4 and it is when things matters that Safina step up her game and took the third set to 7-5, winning 6 straight games. Thanks to www.tennisdvd.org I got the chance to catch the live streaming of the match. Not to mention the hot and rather funny Arabic girls dancing around in the tv commercial during the breaks.hehehe. Given that Sharapova had no clay mathces under her belt this season and she is still bothered by the ankle injury ( heavily strapped ankle mind you..), reaching 4th round is considered good enough to me. Hope that she will be ready for the grass court season which will start next week. Can't wait for WIMBLEDON!
p/s: I still fancy a chance to see a Hingis and Williams final here at the French Open. As for the men, no worries, Nadal will defend his title. :)

Was happy Sharapova got ousted from the tournament... never a fan of any Russian female tennis players, guess Kournikova just really spoilt their images for me :-)[nak main ke, atau nak jadi model?]. However, the feeling didn't last when Venus also got ousted... hopefully Clijster will win this one. For the man side, well that's just so predictable that it somehow seems not worth bothering anymore... LOL
