GLORY...GLORY....

The recent Sea Games in Manila is our best yet outside of KL. Despite the controversies by the host ( cough..we also cheat in 2001..cough) who managed to take the overall winner of Sea Games we still managed to win 61 Gold Medals and fourth place overall. As a big fan of swimming and athletics, the most suprising news to me is when a category B athlete, Shahadan Jamaluddin won the 400m hurdle. Robani Hasan also regained the 110m hurdles title from Thailand for Malaysia (Nur Herman Majid was the champion for six consecutive times!! )
Not suprised by the gold medals from Lim Keng Liat and Daniel Bego. Their in the class of their own.
Sadly, for our soccer team, the Gold medal search still continues. Sigh..

Not to forget the success of Nicol Ann David for her triumphed at the recent World Squash Championship, comfirming her place at the top ranking next year. CONGRATS!!!
Hope that there will be more of Nicol in the making here in our own backyard...
hm..makes me wonder..when we will have our own player listed in the ATP/WTA Tennis Ranking..hmm...

All this makes me even more proud of being a Malaysian..
Malaysia Boleh ! ! !
