The One with the motor GP

This event took place last month. Its the first race of the 2009 calendar. Im not a fan of Motor GP in the first place, so I decided to join the rest for some photo session.


Went to LIC (Losail International Circuit) in the morning after breakfast. Didn't have any clue where to purchase the tickets since there was no promotion watsoever. Arrived there and was told to come back in the afternoon. Counter open at 2pm. duh...Friday....


Lack of promotion, unlike SIC. One of the few posters hanged at the counter tickets. Ironically, the day before LIC was announced as the best host for the 2008 season.

Welcome to LIC. Was there for 4 days straight. One extra night where the Motor GP race was cancelled due to heavy rain.


It was very heavy that night. Look at the kurma tree being swayed to the other side.

This was supposed to be the actual Motor GP race but was cancelled due to rain. See how close the race was about to start when it suddenly rain? Hujan itu rahmat, lagi2 kt Qatar :)

The actual final race for the motor gp. Cassy Stoner won the race ahead of the reigning world champion. Yes, it rained again the following week in Suzuka.
