The match between Nadal and Federer was probably the best tennis match I've ever witnessed. The match ended 0420 at our local time and staying up the whole night was worth it. Both of the top two best players live up to the expectations. Rafa won the first two sets and Federer managed to crawl his way back into the match when Nadal couldn't convert the 3 break points at 3-3 in the third set. That was the turning point of the match. Federer went on to win the set the the next one, both in tie breakers. In the final decider set, both players managed to hold on to their serve and it was until 7-7 when Nadal took the opportunity to break Federer's serve. Some might agree that was 'the break' of his career. At 8-7, Nadal kept his composure and serve his way to his first Wimbledon title. Nadal is the first player in the open era after Swedish Bjorn Borg to win French and Wimbledon back to back. I will definitely put this match on top of my list, as the best tennis match I've seen.
Aha, this reminds me of tennis at Doha. Every year, it stage the annual Qatar Open, both for men and women. This year it would be extra special for tennis fans in the Middle east because WTA agreed to move the Year End Championship from Madrid to Doha. ( banyak tol duit pak2 arab ni!!). Tennis fans could get to see 3 major events in a year! Tennis fan like me can't complain much. I'm so gonna love Doha!! :)
