The One with the the Senandung Malam Train

Made a short trip across the causeway during the weekend to attend the Singapore Air Show 2008. Mission, to catch the Airbus 380. Took the Senandung Malam Train to JB from KL Sentral on Friday night. My first ever experience on a KTM intercity train. Tak selesa dul the economy class. Took the bed on the way back.

The queue at Expo MRT Station, to catch the shuttle bus to the Air Show expo location. Knowing this is Singapore and not KL, within minutes, you are in the shuttle bus already. :)

The queue to enter the expo area. You have to go through the metal detector machine, ala the security check at departure lounge at any airport.

Once you enter the Exhibition Arena, you will be greeted by the SIA Girls, displaying their lavish First Class Suite, only available in their A380. This is definitely a great way to fly, provided you have lots of cash..kaching kaching..:P

This is what I'm here for. The world biggest commercial aircraft, the Airbus 380-800. It is huge.

The main landing gear. The configuration is what we called as Two Dual Wheels in Tandem Main Gear/Three Dual Wheels in Tandem Body Gear with Dual wheel Nose Gear. FYI, aircraft landing gears are part of my job scope.
