The One with the tennis news

VAMOS RAFA!!!!
Rafael Nadal, the undisputed King of Clay, continued his record breaking form by clinching his third straight Roma Masters last night, defeating Fernando Gonzalez. Despite being push to the limit in the semifinal match by Nikolay Davydenko, last night's final match was totally the opposite. His opponents only took 4 games in the final last night, where Nadal's powerful groundsrokes and his netplay reigned supreme. His win last night is his 77 consecutive win on clay surface, a new record for consecutive win on any type of surface. Vamos Rafa!

Ana in the Top 10!

Another reason to be happy is that Ana Ivanovic clinched her second Tier 1 title, the German Open. She defeated last year's French Open finalist, Svetlana Kuznetsova in 3 thrilling sets. The title last night catapult Ana into the top 10, which has been her dream sinced she cracked the top 20 two years ago. With the other young guns in the top 10 already ( Vaidisova, Jankovic, Safina and Chadvetatze or whatever the spelling is..), this will make the WTA much more exciting with new faces ready to step it up and challenge the other permanent top 10 players( Mauresmo, Sharapova, Justine and others.)

Ouch... Federer just ended Nadal's superb run on clay. Looks like someone could finally overcome his great nemesis on clay court and win that French Open title this year.

in a way...im glad that he lost to federer who's about to become GOAT ( greatest of all time) rather than to an unknown player...this lost will add more spice to the upcoming French open :)
