This might be a week late..but the Malaysian Government has ruled out Subang as the hub of the LCC, instead KLIA will be the location for the hub. This is line with KLIA main purpose which is to become a regional hub and to surpass Changi one day.
The new terminal will accomodate 10 million passengers a year and the construction will begin as soon as this April.Since there is a dedicated terminal for the low cost airlines, the turn around period will be cut to 20 minutes, which can reduce cost and increase efficiency.
Though Air Asia might be a little bit bumped by this news, I'm very sure that Tony Fernandes will work things out with MAB to ensure that the terminal will be a success and to ensure that KLIA will become a LCC hub.
p/s: just cant wait for the new A320 in Air Asia livery.i posted Air asia's boeing below
