The One With The Airbus 380

the biggest plane in the world finally in his totality..The airbus 380...!! MAS have ordered 6 of this super jumbo plane...i'm very sure that MAS gonna use this plane for the popular Kangaroo route KUL - LHR - MEL/SYD.. or the transpacific flight KUL - LAX...but the delivery wont be around till end of 2006 or early 2007...
with the introduction of this Airbus.. one can expect to face some operational and service challenges; airports terminal, taxiways, aerobridges have to be expanded. This wont happen in KLIA,Chep Lak Kok, Incheon or the new Suvarbanabumi ( Bangkok)... Check-in facilities, in-flight services, baggage and custom clearance procedures may suffer in view of the larger number of passengers. . but hopefully..by the time this plane gonna be introduce...hope that everything will be fine..
yeah..this november MAS will introduce this new flight to Stockholm from Kuala Lumpur using Boeing 777-200...later the plane will procede to Newark..mm...wondering if MAS will continue its KUL - Dubai- Newark flight..? the Stockholm - Newark flight is the first non-stop flight from the the Sweden capital to New york by any airlines..so i think MAS is trying to gain the niche market there..i suppose..
heard today that Malaysia and Singapore goverment have reached an agreement to open the KUL-SIN route to other airlines...will low cost airlines get any benefits from this? how will it effect the SIA and MAS shuttle services..? wait n see i guess....
