The One with the Athens 2004

its olympic again..the world biggest sport gathering in the world..Athens hosted this olympic n it was dogged by lots of controversies as in delay of completing the arena for the event..but it started quite well..esp. the opening ceremony..still amazed by how in the hell did the greeks let the water flowing out from the stadium in 3 minutes..i have to make do with the RTM covergae..which i considered rather OK...but damn i hate Hasbullah Awang...swimming n athletics are the event ive been looking 4 ward too...n tennis!!
american team claimed that they will conquer the pool ( men event)...boy there were wrong..thorpedo n kitajima ( see above!) single handedly crashed their party by winning 2 gold medal each....not to mention the superb swim by the south africa team in the 4x100m relay...
phelps managed to win 6 gold medal...short 1 from spitz...but hey..hes still 19..long way to go...
hoogie won only 1 gold medal..n popov cant even qualify to the final 0f 50 m...
brujin managed to defend her 50 m splash n dash event..after she failed to defend the other 2 events...
in athletics...justin gaitlin won the blue ribbon event...
as for the malaysian team...i'll be hoping they will return with a medal...even mongolia managed to win a medal...( FINGERS CROSS!!!!! )
